Breaking: Blue Cross KC to Leave Obamacare Exchanges
Major news from Andy Marso at the Kansas City Star. Reportedly the move comes after the company experienced a $57 million loss on the exchange in 2016.
As we have noted before, rural areas of Missouri were already severely underserved by the Obamacare exchanges, and the departure of Blue Cross Kansas City will leave dozens of counties with no Obamacare providers next year if nothing else changes.
